Why not to buy All Metal Radiator's For Freightliner Columbia & Century Class Trucks

We were seeing massive premature failures in Freightliner Columbia and Century Class radiators. We visited with all of our existing customers that owned Freightliner Columbia and Century class trucks. We thaught we could address all their problems buy going to a copper brass replacemant radiator for the Freightliner Columbia and Century class. We searched out a distributor to make or provide us a copper brass radiator for all Columbia and Century models. Of course we could not find a American company to provide this product for us. We ended up finding a American company that was buying copper brass radiators for the Freightliner Columbia and Century models. They were buying it from a company call Phar out of Mexico. The product looked great. We thaught we had solved all the problem for Century and Columbia class radiators. We were never so mistaken. In my professional opinion it was the biggest mistake I had made in 30 years in the radiator business. We had more failures than a guy could shake a stick at. They were to heavy in my opinion for the framework. The Freightliner Columbia models were the worst. They would all come back with the brackets cracked were the mounting pins for the frame went threw. Phar redesigned the brackets and put rubber bushing's threw the mounting pin's calling it a vibration problem so I was told from my distributor the problem was fixed. I was skeptical but agreed to try the new and improved Freightliner Columbia And Century radiator from Phar. We did notice some improvemant but not much. My opinion still is they are to heavy for the Freightliner Columbia and Century class framework. We are paying labor claims on a case buy case basis for all Phar product we have sold for Freightliner Columbia and Century class radiators. We will not reccomend copper brass replacemants for Freightliner Columbia or Century class or assist with any labor claims for radiators sold after 01/01/2010.  We do buy a lot of Phar radiators for other Freightliner's and have no problem's. In my opinion Freightliner made a poor design for the Columbia radiator, and any copper brass radiator I don,t care who made it will make your problem worse.
