New OE-Premium Heavy Duty Radiators for Freightliner Century & Columbia Trucks
We are pleased to announce these new radiators for all Freightliner Century and Columbia class Trucks. After extensive testing we are ready to release several new part numbers for Freightliner Columbia and Century models.
Active Radiator took a common sense approach. They identified every thing that is prone to failure on Freightliner Columbia and Century class radiator and then engineered a solution.
A large portion of this product is made in the U.S.A. I feel this is the strongest part of this product line. Let's keep Americans working.
The headers (what the tanks attaches to) Have been changed to a high strength and high temperature age hardening aluminum alloy. If the tanks are not installed within three days of the radiator core being made, the radiator core has to be destroyed because of the alloy used. It reaches max hardness in 30 days.
The side channels portrude threw both headers of the radiator core. The oem Freightliner Columbia radiator core does not. This forms a unibody construction to reduce twisting and flexing.
The OE-Premium radiator tanks for the Freightliner Columbia radiator have had several improvements made to them. The ribbing on the tank is thicker than the oem Freightliner Columbia Radiator. Also on the inlet tank ( Top Hose tank). The tank has been made thicker to prevent cracking from excessive heat.
The OE-Premium radiator uses silicone gaskets. The oem Freightliner Columbia radiator uses neoprene.
The core on the OE-Premium radiator use thicker tubes and fins than the oem Freightliner Columbia radiator.
Most manufactures cycle test truck radiators at 30,000 to 50,000 cycles. Active Radiator tests at 250,000 cycles.
The OE-Premium radiator has a two year unlimited mile warranty. The oem Freightliner Columbia Radiator has a one year warranty.
We are looking foreward to Active Radiator producing radiators for International,Volvo,Mack and Kenworth in the near future.
